Hello ive recently upgraded my computer (specs below) and like before the graphics upgrade my computer is still running low FPS. From the videos ive been watching computers with the same specs as mine run up to 800+ FPS but im at a solid 100-200 and i know there must be something im doing wrong. Please let me know if theres a fix! Thanks!
Turn your render distance down, that should add a good 10-20 fps... I recommend 7-8 chunks, also don't play in full screen it lags a bit.. When I play in full screen, I lag like hell, but when I play of a small screen, I'm lag free
2 things helped me and they should help you more because i only have 8GB's and almost no lag
TIP 1: Watch and follow every instruction of this video (Need Optifine) does not matter your MC Version
TIP 2: Download this program helps ping and fps on all games http://www.razerzone.com/cortex
Really hope it works and helps you. Mine ON
Anyway, for OP, the monitor usually does make a difference. The higher your monitor resolution is, the better it looks & the worse it plays. Try not expanding the window and see if it makes a difference. If it does help, then get the shader mod (no, not to use shaders) and go into the shader menu> and turn the Display Res button to not 1.0 or higher.

Specs:
i5-4670 CPU 3.40 GHz
16GB RAM
64-bit Operating System
PNY Geforce GTX 750 2GB Graphics Card
1.5TB Storage
Try Optifine, and fastcraft as well if you'd like.
Also be sure AdvancedOpenGL is set to on.
I dont see an AdvancedOpenGL in video settings.
I currently have optifine installed but still low fps any other suggestions?
Oh I forgot 1.8 removed that option, I usually play 1.7.10 because of mods
How much RAM do you have allocated? This will only make a difference if you have a reaaaally small amount allocated.
I have 8GB allocated

mohitnysa has the right idea, what resolution are you playing on? Give us a full list of your specs & the video you are comparing it to.
Heres the full specs

@OP try only giving minecraft 1 GB of ram and download http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/85817/en-us
Why "NO"?
I use Razer Cortex.

I wouldn't call 100-200 FPS "low FPS," but you could try fiddling with some settings and see if that's the issue.
made account 4 years ago and don't know how to change the name haha
