Sorry for yet another help thread.

I've been trying to update my forge, version 1.7.10-10.13.0.1180 to version 1.7.10-10.13.4.1445, but simply installing it with the new installer doesn't seem to work. When I check my forge profile the only 1.7.10 version is version 1.7.10-10.13.0.1180. I've attempted to update it several times.

Sorry, I dont think I was clear. When I click 'edit profile' and then try to change the version, the only 1.7.10 version is the one I already have.

No, the launcher wasn't running.

I apologize, I typed MultiMC into google and that was the first thing that came up. What is it then? I've never heard of it.

MultiMC is a launcher that makes it much easier to install mods and create multiple completely separate instances of Minecraft. Also what version of Java do you have?

I'll have to get back to you about my java version, as my computer is not availabke to me at the moment.

I have Java 8.
