Not Enough Items is not showing up

Title says it all, I'm playing just fine then it suddenly vanished without explanation.
What I have tried:
Resizing both the window and the GUI.
Pressing the key "o" several hundred times.
Reinstalling it.
So can I please get a fix for this annoyance?
Read the latest pages before you ask something, you might save yourself some trouble.
I took down godzilla from the godzilla mod with vanilla gear and only lost ~17000 HP.
