I have installed Minecraft Forge 1.7.10, and I already have Copious Dogs and Biomes O Plenty, both for 1.7.10, and they work fine.
I downloaded the 1.7.10 version of Doggy Talents, copied it into my .mods folder, but the game crashes when it is starting up.
I've also noted that instead of a .jar or .zip file, like my other mods, this one was already a folder when I downloaded it. I think this might be the problem, but all of the websites that offer the download always have a folder instead of a .zip or .jar file.
Please help, I'd love to try this mod out.
I also have the crash report:

I know what you're talking about, unfortunately, I have the same issue, but I also don't think I could really help since how I still can't get it to work.
1st. Some mods have folders already there.
2nd. Some folders are zipped, & need to be unzipped by a program such as WINzip; which I will not use, simply, because it costs money! I use 7-zip because it's free, it may not be the best like WINzip, but it gets the job done.
3rd. If you want to use 7-zip I will give you the link --> http://www.7-zip.org/ [(Hint: just copy & paste)For those who don't know ;)]
4th. Even after all of that (+ unzipping) It still didn't work. l:( yay...
5th. I realized all I had to do was get rid of the zip folder & make sure the Doggy Talents Mod 1.7.10 was there with its data & I'm quite sure it worked.
6th. I use 1.7.10, & it was my 24th mod I had installed, so you'd better believe I'm definitely used to this. (Especially since I use a laptop, lol)
7th. I really hoped this helped, & I'm really sorry if I lead you on to think that this would absolutely work just because it's the only response on this forum. I truly & honestly hope that this post helps you figure something that works & if it doesn't, promise me you won't lose hope, everything takes time to learn, just don't give up! You CAN do this, trust me, I didn't think I could & that lead to giving up, which made it take more screaming at my laptop, stress, & frustration to get to play modded Minecraft.
I can start up minecraft and use all my mods such as superheroes unlimited, legends core to run superheroes unlimited, Xaero's minimap mod, not enough items, code chicken core to run not enough items but not doggy talents features or items, because they will crash my game, and I can't pull up the crash log for some reason. Please help A.S.A.P.

1. Make your own post. Don't steal someone else's
2. The crash-reports folder is under the .minecraft folder.
3. You didn't provide any useful information, like what version of MC your running, the OS, etc.
