Ever since I got my new laptop, I've experienced an issue with solely minecraft. My screen randomly flashes white in different places, inventory bar, display etc. So far I've checked other problems like this, but I have been unable to get new drivers from Intel, because this laptop has a customized computer manufacturer driver. I have gone to the support website of HP, the custom manufacturer, and downloaded various drivers. None of these have fixed the problem. My old laptop, using AMD, did not experience these problems and it was also Windows 8 so it probably has to do with Intel.
Hi, I am not playing 1.7.9, I'm playing the latest version of 1.8, but this issue also occurs with modpacks that I have in 1.6.4, but this thread is about regular MC. And how do I know if my GPU is overclocked?

Change your GUI settings to normal [can be found in settings -> GUI settings]
This happened to me once, my inventory bar, inventory, hand etc. would randomly flash bright white, normal is easy to get used to, essentially just change your GUI settings if they are already normal.

You can use free downloadable tools online. Just search "overclocking tools" and download one.
I'm pretty sure my LAPTOP isn't overclocked, I didn't do so in the BIOS, so it shouldn't do it by itself. Plus it would melt if it was. Similarly, the issue still occurs whether its on High Performance or Battery Saving.
Again, another Bump, if anyone has encountered a similar problem and fixed it, or knows how to solve this issue, please redirect me somewhere, or offer what assistance you can here.

Specs:
Intel Core i3-4005U CPU 1.70 GHz
8 GB of RAM
Windows 8.1 x64 bit
HD Graphics 4400
Thanks in advance!
Bump.
Are you playing 1.7.9? If so, this is actually a bug they fixed in newer versions.
Is your GPU (factory) overclocked? Overclocking is a cause of this issue, turn it off with a tool.

IQ Test
Apparently this is associated with having intel graphics.

I tried changing my GUI to everything, small, normal, large, and auto, but the problem seems to occur regardless.
