Hi, as the title said, I am unable to allocate more ram to minecraft. I ussually had 2G ram for minecraft, but for no reason minecraft now has 499m of ram allocated to it. I have no idea why this happened and everytime I try to change it back I get the error "error occured during initialisation of VM". I dont know why this happened and I would like to know how I can fix it due to minecraft being extremely laggy even in a superflat world, I cant even load modded worlds and minecraft crashes.

any help much appreciated.
-Xmx2048M -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn512M
just paste that into the text area, it's a copy of mine and it works for me.
If MC is using 512M despite all attempts to change it, that can be caused from the Razer Synapse software.
Thank you, it worked!
No problem, I noticed that if I use 2G instead of 2048M it doesn't work for some reason despite that it is supposed to recognize it at 2 gigs.
