its a decent computer, go into the video settings and turn graphics on fast, and render distance on 10. That should cut down on frame lag if not, edit a few more video settings, Hope that helped
I am getting 60 fps in my local world and a little more on servers but still a little laggy i have optifine.

Graphics: MD Radeon HD 8240 graphics (combined with the processor)
Ram: 12 (i have plenty to allocate)
Windows 8.1
Hp all in one pc 2014 model

That's your problem. Too bad it's an all-in-one, so you can't improve the graphics card/cpu
