These are the spec's of my computer; more than enough to play many games on high or ultra.
I also have a block breaking very similar to what people experience whilst playing SMP: Broken blocks require some time to actually break. This happens even in SSP.
I would like to hear any suggestions on how to reduce lag. Minecraft has 6GB of allocated memory and my PC Is able to increase virtual paging up to 32GB

2.0 Ghz is really less for MC, but the lag issue can be fixed if you fiddle with your video settings, keep render distance low, change graphics to fast, turn on OpenGL. I also recommend adding Optifine and FastCraft, great mods to speed up your Minecraft.
