So today I was having issues with forge, and in an attempt to fix it, I deleted my forge profile and forge versions. I tried to reinstall forge, and the installer told me it had been successful. I opened my Minecraft launcher to see that a new Forge profile had not been created. After several failed attempts it still wasn't working. I am sure I installed it correctly because I have never had this problem before. I am using Minecraft v1.7.10
Help would be greatly appreciated, and if you need more info just tell me.
Update: Okay, so I fixed the problem by changing the version of forge.
