I am currently playing on 1.8.6, and I play with my brother by opening to LAN.
Well, LAN stopped working and so I made a Network server for me and him, using the same world.
I realized that there are 2 chunks regenerated and not blended in. They stick out and it's obvious that the world was a little bit corrupted.
I went back on the Single Player world of it, and I realized the exact 2 places those chunks were, were gone. (The server must have replaced them.)
Nothing was in the chunks, and I could not even go in the chunks.
I looked back just recently, and yet another chunk error appeared.
Now, for the questions.
How do I fix it?
How do I prevent it from happening again?
I have MCEdit installed and am ready to do what I can.
Also, using MCEdit to replace chunks from another world does not work, it only regenerates it.

U only have to delete the tow chunks. Minecraft will recreate them if u next time near by.
Maybe more are defect on u world i suggest that u use "Minecraft Region Fixer" to be sure.
