Hello, I have played Minecraft for many years and was stumped when I suddenly received an error that crashed my Minecraft every 5 minutes. This was very frustrating, which is why I want to help others to solve this problem. The specific error I had turned out to be due to the instable base of Java Runtime Environment 8. IF YOU ARE NOT RUNNING JAVA 8 OR JAVA RE 8 THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. My game was running Java RE 8, so I downgraded to Java RE 7. To do this, simply download Java RE 7 from the link below. Once this is installed, follow these steps:
- To start, go to the Start Menu, click Control Pannel on the right, and below the Programs tab click Uninstall a Program. Search Java and uninstall both Java 8 and Java SE Development Kit (If you have that installed)
1. Go to the Start Menu.
2. Click Computer.
3. Double click your disc that ends in (C:)
4. Go to Program Files if you are running 32 bit or Program Files (x86) if you are running 64 bit.
4. Find and open Java. In that, copy the folder titled jre7.
5. Find Minecraft and open it.
6. Now find the folder titled runtime and open it.
7. Open the only folder.
8. Paste the folder you copied here and open it.
9. Open the bin.
10. Find the location, which would look something like this:
64-Bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin
32-Bit:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin
11. Add "\javaw.exe" and copy the entire line.
12. Open up your Minecraft launcher.
13. Click "Edit Profile"
14. Under "Java Settings (Advanced)" check the box titled "Executable".
15. In the text bar to the right of the check box, clear what is there and paste your new location.
16. Click "Save Profile" and you are done!
I hope this helped anyone else who has had this problem and is frustrated!

I think a simple reinstall of JRE8 might of fixed that for you, but I dont think downgrading to 7 is going to help you any.
This error is 100% caused by Java 8's unstable base. Java 7 is a finished, fixed version. JRE8 as well isn't stable.
