So my frames are randomly going from 90+ to 0 every 5 seconds. It freezes for 1 second then its normal. I put all my video setting to fast and off or more frame stabilization and nothing works. This problem just started about last week and before that i didn't have any problem with frames. Im using a mac book pro and 8g ram. I put 3g into minecraft though. Not sure whats my problem. Also its not the version type. I tried 1.8.1 and 1.8.4 optifine and still doesn't help.

Both daytimes. Its not the chunks. Its only on servers. Like when i pvp or parkour it randomly freezes and all the chunks are loaded for me. my render i put it on 2 and the chunk loading at the minimum. Also its even when i stay still

if you have no other issues with network connections (using wi-fi ?, how about average ping delay ?), you can say the problem is in the MC client.

Make sure you have the latest java version on your computer and link it correct in the Minecraft Launcher

make a copy of your actual profile and work on that

Plan A:

In the launcher at the JVM settings add the following text: -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:SurvivorRatio=8

additional text: -XX:+UseParallelOldGC -XX:ParallelGCThreads=ZZZ

(ZZZ = the Number of your CPU cores)

the first line of Code could solve your problem,

the 2nd should make it less worse if the 1st doesn't work and improves the overall performance

The worst thing that can happen by adding the extra text, is that MC does not start, in that case just remove the profile and you are back where you started

Plan B:

when using optifine (1.8.1 and 1.8.4) you have in the Options the folder Graphic / other -> Auto save, change the setting to 3 min

also in the folder Graphic / performance-> Dynamic update, change the actual setting (maybe it was just that)

Plan C: re install MC

- make a copy of your save games, also copy the text in the JVM settings of your profile to save time when adding them later, notice the IP of your favourite servers,

delete MC, do a restart of your computer and install MC again

MC usually uses java 8.0.25 so you have to correct the link in the settings after re-installing

I don't know exactly your problem and think Plan A and/or B should solve it.

Plan C is the Backup plan and means I don't know, but try it again and you will see if the failure was temp and maybe caused by an update or you can reproduce it and have the knowledge that something essential got wrong. In that case I would recommend to go step by step and start with a naked MC version playing on a server and add a feature till you get to the point where you find the source of the problem.
