I manage to load every other version before and after this one, but of course 1.7.2 just does not work for me. My friend started a server and found some mods he wanted to use that are supported only as recent as 1.7.2, so he created the server for that version. I went and created my profile for that version, and it says "downloading" as usual. Then it switches over and says "launching"...then just stays there. I looked at the log and it basically just has a long list of "couldn't download" for every step. I deleted all my files about five separate times and redownloaded everything over and over, but 1.7.2 remains the only version that will not work. I was hoping maybe someone had a suggestion on how to fix this issue, or if I just cannot join my friends in the server?

there should be a reason for the "couldn't download" message. post the launcher log.
