Apparently it only happens on the computer I'm currently using. But whenever I try to load Minecraft Forge via the installer, it doesn't launch.
The installation works fine, it installs Minecraft Forge automatically but whenever I go into the Minecraft launcher, choose the Forge profile, and launch the game. The launcher will disappear like the game is going to launch, but it never does.
So I can only play vanilla Minecraft and I can't really play it Vanilla anymore after using mods for so long.

Try re-installing forge. Make sure you're using the correct version of forge, corresponding to the version you want to be running. Also if that doesn't work, try re-installing Minecraft. Make a backup of your %appdata% .minecraft folder, re-install and see if that changes anything.
You will want to run the version of MC that you are going to run forge for first. For example, run 1.7.10 vanilla first then install Forge 1.7.10 then run it with the forge profile (as so mods require you to do this anyway). I generally use the "use version" drop-down box instead in the options menu; I generally don't change the profile I am using.
Couple of things to take note when you're using Forge:
Make sure your version of Forge matches the version of Minecraft you are running (i.e. running MC version 1.7.10 with forge for 1.7.10)
Make sure the mods you are using are properly supported by the version of Forge you are using
Make sure to check and see if any of your mods require other mods in order to function properly.
Try various other "release" versions of Forge to see if one is just less stable than the other (i.e. forge 1.7.10 version 10.13.3.1407 vs 1.7.10 version 10.13.3.1403)

You may also want to check out this post as someone else was having the same exact problem with you. I know it deals with using Java version 8 and Forge 1.7.2 that stops working because of Java version 8 (unless this was subsequently fixed). I've also experienced this myself (with testing) and the fix listed in this post (listed by the TheMasterCaver) worked to fix the issue.

I used Forge 1.7.2 with Minecraft 1.7.2
I didn't install any mods yet. I just wanted to test it to see if the game launched but it didn't launch when I used Forge.
