Why would Minecraft even be supported by Curse? You literally can't do anything with it through the curse client. Texture packs? Big-whoop. I also notice curse has no official forums or method of providing feedback about this issue. I say drop the baggage and get rid of Curse. It's clearly a company that doesn't give a damn about it's users. It puts a whole section for Minecraft on it's site but literally nothing in that section can be used for any real purpose. One could just as easily download mods from the minecraft forums.
On a related note, what would be the current standard for mod-managing with Minecraft. Perferably a program that doesn't just slap on a default UI and pretend to support mod-management for Minecraft?
There is no standard. Just a whole lot of custom launchers, that mostly do the same thing.
The best of the lot is MultiMC. IMO.
And Curse Voice Minecraft plugin does have issues. Lazy handling of resource packs is the least of them. You can install them, but only packs available on Curse.
It is still Beta.
Yeah, and plenty of modpacks crash with an IFMLLoadingPlugin error. No kidding, happened to me a few times. Had to use FTB for a while.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Beta would imply even a modicum of usability. There isn't even a mention of the fact that it does nothing, and it's a "featured game". Curse has had plenty of time supporting Minecraft to get it rolling. It's current implementation is nothing greater than a second-rate fan site with links to the Minecraft wiki.

Got it, thanks
