I'm having some trouble with a world disappearing, and I was wondering if you had any ideas to help.
I was closing Minecraft just like I usually do-- quit to title then pressed quit game --and it closed just like normal. When I launched Minecraft again a few minutes later, a world I spent hours on had disappeared. No other worlds were gone, and that was the world I had last played in. On other thing that may help is that when I launched Minecraft all my settings were reset and my texture pack was gone.
P.S. I tried both my Optifine and normal profile when launching)

Navigate to your .minecraft folder by opening the launcher, clicking edit profile and then open directory. Check your saves folder that should be there. If your world is there, copy it and paste it with a different name and try again.

I just checked again and now it's in the saves folder, but doesn't show up as an option to enter.

What do you mean? Can you send a screenshot?
Thanks, but it didn't work.

Sorry. Didn't see this. Basically it was in my saves folder, but when I was in minecraft it wasn't one of my worlds.

Okay. Did you try copying and pasting it?
Yeah.
