Ever since 1.8 came out, it's been almost impossible for me to play minecraft single player. It's not fps lag though, that's completely fine, it's more like my ping to the server is really, really high. It's a single player world, so it can't be my ping. Creating a new world can take up to 5 minutes before I can actually see any blocks. When it does load, nothing works. Chests and furnaces wont open, blocks won't drop items when broken, and mobs won't do anything when you hit them.
I have both Java 1.8 and Java 1.7 on my computer
I have a decent computer with a i5-3570k and a gtx 660 ti
Any other game will run without a problem and minecraft multiplayer also runs perfectly

restart mc and change the render distance to like 8 and it should fix the problem or put it on whatever distance but dont go higher than that in sp
