somehow recently, sounds in my minecraft have stopped working. I already have had issues with my sounds not working before. it took a tedious process in trying to make it work, going online to download files, transferring files, and overwriting other files. i don't really know what else to do now to try and fix my minecraft. I've downloaded a cracked version of minecraft quite some time ago too when i couldn't afford it and wanted to play it, but now that i got the money i downloaded it "legit-ly." But when i tried playing with mods that I have used before in the cracked version in my new "legit" minecraft, no sounds have been working with the mods, using Forge. But nowadays I've just been playing vanilla version, and now i currently have no sounds coming from my minecraft.
Hmmm. What computer do you use? And do you have headphones. By plugging in some headphones it might be able to hear the sounds. Otherwise go to minecraft > options > music and sounds. Then edit the sounds there! If that still doesn't work quote me.

I'm making a mod-pack, that is like a minecraft server with mini-games, etc. It has fake players, (About 500 fake players). But I hope it ends out good, If you guys want it, keep giving me good idea's and support!
That happens to me a lot. All I did was wait because I don't really need the sounds. To me sounds aren't really needed but it does annoy me if the sound isn't working(because I got used to it playing).

I have unplugged my headset and tried it again, still nothing too. One thing I don't get is what people would mean when they say that with edit the sounds within the Minecraft options. I've quite a lot of forums regarding this topic of "no sounds working for minecraft" but none have had any solutions to what I'm dealing with. All i see in that area of settings for minecraft are Master Volume, Music, Weather, etc. They are all at 100%. The only thing that i have seen that seems odd is the icon picture of minecraft from my volume mixer.
