I know this is late, but I was just running into the problem myself and was working on it at the minecraft subreddit.
I went into my Nvidia Control Panel and turned Threaded optimization to "Auto". THAT'S IT!! That was keeping my framerate from 130fps to 30fps! Hope this helps!

Hello all, I'm new to shaders and was wondering if anyone knows why I may be getting only about 20 FPS with them.
I have GLSL shaders installed.
My system specs:
RAM: 32 Gigs
GPU: GTX 780 Ti
Monitor: 2560 x 1440 144hz
CPU: i7-4790k 4.00GHz
