Hello there! I've been having a problem with my Minecraft recently. I'll open a world, and ever 5-10 seconds I'll just get a random drop in frames. It will usually go from 60-100 FPS all the way down to 0-30 FPS. Then, when I run FTB (Feed the Beast) it is practically unbearable. I know I don't have the best computer in the world, but this should easily be able to run Minecraft. Is there anyway to fix it? I'll list my system specs below.

I got the same thing, from 30+ drop till 0-10 ( yaya only got 1 GB of RAM , To be upgraded later ._.)
It kinda come and leave, firstly its not so smooth, but then it run SUPER NOT SMOOTH, lag like hell, after some second, it will gone by it self.
You can kinda fix it with 1 way :
1. Fps = 60 , this will make a 1 sec 1 frame, it will be stable at the most, during the "unlimitted" limit fps, it's usually overflow, or somethin and do those thing. just my theory:/ hope it can help

You should monitor your temperatures with a program like CoreTemp to see if you are possibly overheating your processor and causing it to throttle down.

Does the random drop happen as soon as the game starts, or later on? Does it go away on its own, or does it stay bad?

I got 99 trouble, and you wont be one of them .
It happens later on. I'll just be walking around and it will drop. It then goes back to 120ish, but then drops again. It just repeats that.
Thank you for the help! I'll make sure to try that out!
