One day after using the "Super Secret Settings" I noticed that my view underwater is practically useless. Above water is normal. I have cycled through the SSS until it is at normal. This issue follows all saves. I have pressed F4. The effect remains. OS is Windows 8.1. Any help? Please? Thank you!

The Super Secret Settings is a setting that will change the
game's look when clicked. Some effects blur up your screen, outline
everything, turn everything black and white, make your game 3D, turn
everything upside-down, turn everything so that it looks like it is
being viewed with a thermal camera, make your game look like it's being
viewed on an old T.V. set, turn everything dark, make your game more
pixelated, make your game look like it's being viewed with night-vision,
change colors constantly, and make your game wavy. The Super Secret
Settings can be accessed through the esc. menu, under settings. If F4 is
pressed, the Super Secret Settings reset to normal. But on your condition
I think like our pro fixer x.x aaronfranke do what he said, i am not
a pro ._. but you can try to restart your computer and try F4 again.
Or if not, then the problem is not the SSS but your computer or PC or etc

Aqua Affinity enchant lights up water so you can see better, if the level is too high though, that is the effect
Respiration, not Aqua Affinity.
Aqua Affinity removes the dig speed loss associated with being underwater.
Respiration increases the delay between losing air bubbles (or taking drowning damage), and lights up the fog a little making it easier to see.
Too high a level of respiration lights up the underwater fog so much that your screen turns white. This isn't normally a problem as vanilla mechanics limit it to Respiration 3 (I think it was)

Try deleting options.txt in .minecraft or re-install the game.

I got 99 trouble, and you wont be one of them .
Excessive levels of the respiration enchantment cause that effect. If you've got something enchanted with that, it could be the cause.
I'm pretty sure none of the super secret settings can cause this.

Thanks, as far as OpenGL 2.1, not sure it is an on chip Intel graphics processor and some of those have issues with OpenGL.
