Is there a way for me to use my character skin offline? I have a skin which predates 1.8, so I don't have that extra hat layer all around my body nor do I use the Alex model (This guy confuses me, some say he's a girl but he really looks like a guy with different colored lips and long hair to me), so those possible issues are out of the way. Do I modify the main .jar file of Minecraft itself, or will that give me the Alex model? Do I use a utility, or anything like that? I will be gladly thankful for any help I get.
The reason why I am asking this is because while I do have unlimited computer time, I do not have unlimited Internet time, so... yeah. Also, I use both Windows and Linux thanks to dual-boot, so any help from both the Linux and Windows users would be nice.

Alright, I tried it, and it worked! Luckily my username causes the game to use the Steve model when offline, I think... so I really lucked out on that. Thanks!

Oh, wait, sorry to double post, but I ave ran into another issue. My Minecraft started using Alex for offline mode, and honestly Mr. Skinny Arms does not look good on my skin. ow do I change it back to Steve so I can use my skin?
