What mods are you using? We can't help without that information; "forge" is meaningless by itself. Also, this should be in "modded client support" so people who help with issues like this can see it.
That said, I Googled the error ("java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 2 at iz.a(SourceFile:256)") and found a mention of it here with regards to Tekkit, which may or may not be the mod you are using; it says that Technic should be used instead for singleplayer, not Tekkit (for multiplayer). Otherwise, finding a solution is going to be harder than usual since 1.2.5 is pretty old.
(I also found a similar report here, for vanilla 1.2.5, which suggests other possible issues; one common link is that they have the same OS and Java version you do; I've also recently had people having trouble installing one of my mods on a Mac, if not with the same error)

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
i have used mo creeps and weirdos and spider queen v2 and slappy mcracken's ocean life expanded by themselves and on there own
