Whenever I run Skype and minecraft at the same time I get REALLY bad network lag. My call gets cut off, my connection get mad low, and minecraft network lags. I can run Skype and play minecrafft on different devices but I want to record a collab. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? I play on 1.8.3, and I'm not sure if this happens on a singleplayer world or not because I don't play singleplayer. Also, my laptop has 6 GB of ram if that's relevant.

Are you hosting the call?
It could be your internet not being fast enough to run skype and minecraft.
You must have terrible internet. Sounds like all your bandwidth is being eaten up.
