I had just port forwarded my server (which still isn't working), but afterwards, I can connect to my server and only my server. I can't connect to any other servers for some reason. I know it's my fault because none of the servers that it says I can't connect to is down. I also know that Minecraft is also up as I can login just fine. Anytime I try to connect to any server it just gives me Connection timed out: No further information. I'm running Windows 8. Oh and apologies if this was accidentally posted in the wrong place.
Can you post a speedtest from speedtest.net and a hijackthis report? (http://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/ "Do a scan and save a log file", copy all the text, go to paste.ubuntu.com, paste it there, get the link, post the link here)

I'm going to guess that you applied a port forwarding rule to your outgoing traffic. So when you try to connect to any external server you are being redirected to your own internal server.

So how would I fix this? I've already tried deleting the incoming rule in my network. And disabled the portforwarding in my router.

So it worked until you did portforwarding?

Yes? and anything else you tweaked while trying to port forward your router?
Maybe the problem is something else then. but it is fairly common for people to mess up their portforwarding rules.
I don't think I touched anything else, I've reset everything that I've touched.

I suggest that you uninstall norton as it has some issues with minecraft
Also, check that VMWare isnt running

Oh, never mind I fixed it; all I had to was to reset my router.
