How to upgrade forge in Curse client
I want to know the same :). Apparently creating a new profile with updated forge and moving there all the files from the old instance should be the only way for now. Am I missing something?
I found the answer
How to do it for the meantime:
1. Open the profile's folder to modify the forge version for.
2. Open the instance.json file in a text editor (like Notepad++, preferably not the windows built-in editor)
3. Create a new profile with the desired forge version. There is no need to install any mods or even launch that profile.
4. Open the instance.json of the new profile.
5. Select all lines that are in the category "baseModLoader".
6. Copy that (Ctrl + C)
7. Go to the instance.json of the profile to change, select the lines of "baseModLoader" and hit Ctrl + V.
8. Restart Curse Voice (Rightclick Curse in your taskbar, select Quit Curse, the re-open it)
9. You can now delete the temporary profile.
