Whenever I want to join a server, either for vanilla Minecraft or modded, I'm only able to join after re-trying over and over again for about 5-10 minutes. And when I do join, I get kicked off every five minutes; and then I have to keep retrying. It's gotten so bad I've just about given up on MC.
I'd narrow it down based on the error, but it gives me a different error message every time. Some examples include:
java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
java.util.zip.ZipException: Not in GZIP File Format
java.io.IOException: Recieved string is greater than maximum allowed (Random number > 16) (the random number is usually WAY bigger than 16, like 41939)
java.io.IOException: Recieved string is less than zero! Weird string!
java.io.IOException: Bad compressed data format
java.io.IOException: Bad packet id [Random Number]
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException
The most common ones are the "Recieved string is greater than maximum allowed" and "Bad packet id [Random Number]" ones.
I have a desktop PC with Windows 7, connected over WiFi. I have literally no issues with any other software.
I've found that the downloads keep getting corrupted on my end. Not just MC downloads, but downloads in general. I figured this might be an issue with my RAM, since corrupt downloads didn't start until I removed one of my RAM sticks (to give to a friend who was building a new PC).
I rebooted my computer and loaded MemTest86. The results? 60% of the tested sectors were bad, which resulted in over 500 errors. Wow.
So there's a VERY distinct possibility that this all may be linked to defective RAM; I'm stopping by Best Buy to get new RAM tomorrow morning, and I'll post the results then.
Until then, I'll look into echonite's discovery, as it seems related, I'm getting the same messages in my logs. But then again, that could definitely be caused by corrupted files as a result of defective RAM.
That was, in fact, the problem. After the abysmal RAM tests, I concluded my RAM was probably defective. I went and bought a new set of RAM, and immediately went and re-installed Java, MC, and Technic. I haven't had a single problem since.
Conclusion: Corrupted downloads caused by defective hardware yiffed everything up.

Given your rig specs, I kinda hoped for a higher knowledge of PC hardware.
1. Modern ram is designed to work in pairs, or quad. Removing a stick severely degrades its performance.
2. Do NOT ever buy hardware from BestBuy, ESPECIALLY RAM. You NEED to get matching pairs else it will run at the lowest common denominator. Plus they charge stupidly high prices for things.

I do have the hardware knowledge to make the correct choices, I promise. I didn't mention the situational specifics, is all.
I previously only had two sticks, a pair of 8's for a total of 16GB. Both were defective, despite being tested individually. These sticks were both "somewhat-meh" PNY sticks. I've purchased 4x4GB RAM (@1866MHz) to *completely* replace my previous RAM; each set paired.
Also BB was out of stock so I ordered with Next Day Shipping with NewEgg. Simply because I'm impatient. :I Sorry if I didn't clear things up as well as I should have, that was my bad; didn't think another PC enthusiast would bust me, but I appreciate the concern!

we need specific, full logs. There isn't a lot here. Full computer specs would be helpful as well. Also, what speed are you getting on your internet.

I've mostly been playing Tekkit, but here's the MC log from last time I played: http://pastebin.com/g0FFBr29
The Technic Launcher log is way too big (4.5MB) to use pastebin, so I had to put it on Filedropper. :I http://www.filedropper.com/techniclauncher2015-04-12
Internet speed is usually around 60Mbps.
Full specs:
CPU: AMD FX-9590 Octa-Core @5.1GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660Ti
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P AM3+
PSU: Corsair RM 1000W ATX12V Power Supply
RAM: 16GB RAM @1600GHz
HDD: 3TB HDD
SSD: 256GB SSD
OS: Windows 7
Also if it matters I currently have Java 7u71.
