I downloaded Minecraft about a week ago, and it has worked perfectly. I played on servers and individual worlds and changed my skin. Yesterday, I made a small modification to my skin using the same website (miners need cool shoes), and attempted to reopen my game. When I tried to log onto a server, it said that it was unable to establish a connection. I tried to log on to an individual world, only to receive this error message.

I tried again and again to get back on for two days now, only to be faced with the same error messages. The coding is similar to an error involving Minecraft being blocked by an anti-virus software, but not identical. I have checked my anti-virus software, and it is not the cause of the problem. All the same, I switched it off. I have twice tried fully uninstalling and re-installing; neither fixed the problem. I tried adding a user at the launcher screen, opening it in 1.8.0 instead of 1.8.3. This did nothing for the problem.
Does anyone know what is causing these messages? And, if so, please give me advice on fixing the issue? Thanks.
I checked Java earlier, forgot to include it. For all I know, my Java is up to date. Besides, it shouldn't be that, it has worked and allowed it before.
java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to create a child event loop
I should probably mention that in previous versions (as recent as 1.7) that error indicated a virus (not an anti-virus!) was trying to stop Minecraft from running. Not sure about 1.8, but you should probably run a well-known anti-virus program (like AVG Free or Sophos (Not MSE! It's hopeless)) just to be safe.

Add javaw.exe to the allowed applications in your firewall?
Also try verifying your Java is up to date (link in my signature). Could be that...
Minecraft is the only horror game that makes me scream... WHY CREEPERS SO CREEPY.
Verify your Java Version Here! Check your Network Stability/Bandwidth Here!
It's dangerous to go alone! Update your Nvidia Graphics with this! or your AMD Graphics with this! or your Intel Graphics with this!

I checked Java earlier, forgot to include it. For all I know, my Java is up to date. Besides, it shouldn't be that, it has worked and allowed it before.
Do you java set on your variable path?

Ok. I use AntiMalware Bytes, I'll run a scan.
