(Posting this under unmodded client because the problem persists whether using mods or not)
Hey, I play factions. I usually sit around 100 fps with optifine. my fps won't decline but every ~5-10mins my client will drop to 0fps and freeze, it will stay like that basically until I restart my minecraft. I think it might be my gpu overheating? my pc is a prebuilt I bought 3 years ago. I played WoW up until last month using it and never had a problem, sat at 60fps. It's something to do with minecraft?

please help I can't put up with restarting minecraft every few minutes
I don't know, but maybe you haven't allocated as much memory as Minecraft needs? Maybe you only allocated 512 MB?
