I recently bought Minecraft and I downloaded the launcher from the website but when I try to launch it for the first time and it's downloading all of the files it keeps saying Had local file but it was the wrong size... had x but expected x

And then when the download "finishes" it says this:

And then the Play button is back but when I click it, the launcher just goes through it all again.

I've uninstalled and deleted everything and re-installed everything again and again but it won't work..

Can someone please help?

Stop uninstalling and deleting things. This tosses everything you've managed to download successfully. Just retry several times to try and make forward progress on the problem files.

If the same files keep having the error, then post that log from a retry.

I've retried several times and it will not work, it keeps producing that same error for a lot of files (Don't have the log) but it's the exact same as the one posted above, just different numbers..

Are they the SAME files. If not then it is making progress.
