Hello everyone,

I seem to be having an issue with my fps lately and I was wondering if any of you could help me. I have been fluctuating between 30 and 100 fps lately and I wouldn't be complaining except that I used to be getting 200+ fps and I just boosted my graphics card setting and was getting 300 fps and now it dropped tremendously. Here are my pc specs:

Intel I7

8 gigs of ram

1 tb hard drive

and a nvidia geforce gtx 870m graphics card

any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for taking your time to read this

It could be malware. Try scanning your computer, and also I recently had malware that slowed down my computer tremendously and put browser shop ads everywhere, it was annoying. If you are seeing these ads, look up a solution. If not, it could be one of the minecraft updates, they might require an updated version of Java if you still use that updater or it could be a big, try using optifine, it helps with fps problems, or try restarting your computer.

You know, I diddnt even think about it being malware, my anti malware program just expired the other day so this is more than likely

Try windows defender if you have it. If not, i'm pretty sure your computer has a default scanner.

I am just going to scan with malwarebytes
