Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but here's my problem. On my server in one of the worlds there's this loop that crazy spider-riding boss zombie pigmen to stop invaders. Well the loop was started, and it overloaded the server. I got the world onto singleplayer. I opened the world, disconnected the loop, and tried to /kill the pigmen and spiders. Eventually Minecraft ran out of Java heap space. I ran the world through region fixer, a chunk checker/fixer. Nothing. How next shall I try to save the world? Thank you in advance.
As much as possible. Usually amount of RAM you have - 2GB. BUT, if you have only 4GB of RAM, you could allocate 3GB (though it may cause system instability) and if you have 16GB of RAM, 8GB is more than enough.
I'm for example allocating 6GB when playing with modpacks, and it's always enough.
Around 1400 Meg is the most my computer will let me do for some reason.... It's a laptop though. That didn't work.

it is possible to try and remove if there is one the spawner or the spawn rate you said you made this "loop how? change your region settings? you can open the world in a program called MCEDIT find the loop and fill it all in and find out where this is happening or just select the chunk and regenerate the entire chunk if you wanted to. its worth giving it a try

yes do that. then youll fill up all the spots that making these things spawn and wont give them room to respawn in. if you regernate the entire chunk it will actually get entirely new attributes as well hopefully removing the problem

Wouldn't Minecraft just take longer to run out? I'll still try it. And no, they didn't.

You mean remove the loop by using MCEDIT?
