Hello,

I have had problems with my Minecraft. I have not been able to join servers easily for over 3 days ( and counting ), please I need someone's help with fixing this problem. Please post a way to fix this problem.

I have tried almost everything with my internet router and nothing works. Though I have seen many different tutorials on how to fix this, all of them say something different so I don't know which one to trust or work. Some one help!

Try disabling your firewall if you have one.

I will try it, but I still don't think the risk of a virus is worth it. We will see.

None of the above works... YouTube tutorials don't work the things you guys suggested don't work, Nothing Works... Please If you have had this happen to you, please tell me how to fix it

More information would be helpful, also the firewall on your computer works a little differently than I think you understand it to work. The majority of viruses that get on your computer are ones you unwittingly download. You're actually behind several firewalls, not just the one on your desktop. Your router may have one as well and the ISP you use has all of THEIR routers behind yet ANOTHER firewall. So disabling your desktop firewall temporarily does not cause much vulnerability for testing purposes, only if you decide to go surfing for internet tentacle umm... fish. Yeah... fish.

This problem cropped up three days ago you say?

If so, were there any changes to your system (including the router and it's settings) or software (minecraft or server updates included)?

Single player works fine? Are there any servers NOT effected by this problem and is anyone else able to connect to the server in question?
