I just today installed Minecraft, the official paid version, and immediately installed Forge, ShadersMod and McPatcher. Those three work fine. As far as I know, all I need to do to install mods with Forge, is drop the downloaded files into the 'mods' folder in .minecraft. I already added a lot of files, but none of them show up! Am I doing something wrong? I get so frustrating because this isn't working...
I've had MCPatcher for a while before adding Forge & Mods. But right now on version 1.7.10 Forge & MCPatcher cause an error when used together. I used MCPatcher to have additional (not random per se) mob skins.
Is there a way to make MCPatcher and Forge work together or is there another mod (besides OptiFine, because I can't get that to work either) to have additional mob skins?
