I've recently gotten, after much effort and time, to get a modded minecraft server up and running, and my friend to connect to it. When they logged in, though, it kicked me off, with the simple server message of:
[21:25:27] [Server thread/INFO]: Zandalar lost connection: TextComponent{text='Disconnected', siblings=[], style=Style{hasParent=false, color=null, bold=null, italic=null, underlined=null, obfuscated=null, clickEvent=null, hoverEvent=null}}
[21:25:27] [Server thread/INFO]: Zandalar left the game
[21:25:52] [User Authenticator #8/INFO]: UUID of player Zandalar is *REDACTED UNLESS NEEDED*
When I logged back in, it immediately kicked out my friend. The server works fine, no lag or any problems, other than that only one of us can play at a time. Any ideas why this is happening, or how to fix it?
A bit of a late edit to clarify: I'm running a 1.7.10 server with forge, with many mods (47 of them). As said earlier, everything works great, no crashes or hangups, other than the one-player limit problem. I log on, it disconnects my friend. They log back on, and it disconnects me. Each of us logging in just in tome to see the message that the other player has left the game.
I too have had the same problem. When you go into server.properties scroll down and how many players does it say. if it says 1 well there's your problem! However if that isn't the case delete that server keep any server files u want like mods folder or world your choice. Delete and remake the server. Hope it helped.

Says in the config file up to 20 players. And I'm not quite sure what to keep for the world...Namely, I want the starting world to not be changed, but the rest can go. Which folder would that be in the server files? Dim1, or region?
Also, thank you very much for the response! Was starting to fear no one else was having this problem.

I'm not a lurker...I just stay quiet so the creepers don't find me.
For your world if you wanted it open the server folder then scroll down and see if you can find a folder called "world". drag it out then delete the rest. Make the server again then drag your world in the folder, if it asks there is already a folder called world, just click replace. start it up and it should work fine.

I was unable to find a world folder, unless you meant the server's name, that is. More pressing though is that a brand new server file had the same issues. Seems like my best bet is to start from scratch. Thank you for trying to help! (And I'll keep a backup just in case someone knows the issue)
