I have created a Mods folder with the path \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\Mods and placed in it the following files:
RoguelikeDungeons-1.8-1.3.6.jar
XRay-1.8.1-v2.15.2.jar
The X-Ray mod, which I've used before, is obviously not working. I'm strongly convinced the Rogue-Like Dungeons is not working either.
What have I done wrong?
First, this is the wrong section, it should go in modded client support. Second, in answer to your question, you didn't install forge.
Began playing during Alpha 1.2.6.

I don't recommend you the mod: smart movement (look at my avatar) except you like looking like that

Sorry, but I only play survival so I felt it should go here.
Both mods say you don't need Forge to run them.
