i have open GL installed on my computer, im wondering if i may have done something wrong when installing it?
You don't have the right video driver installed. You need one that supports Open GL, and these are generally only available directly from intel.com, nvidia.com or amd.com as appropriate for your hardware.

Post a dxdiag if you need more assistance.
