Well today I was playing around on one of my single player worlds. I was in The End, under the landmass. While I was flying around, I noticed a ~3 block tall white pillar, floating under the land. I figured it was snow, but I went up to it, and was proven wrong. It is solid white, non-solid, and seems to be an entity? I pressed F3 and B, and it showed a "vision line" for this white mass. I kinda freaked out, as I had never heard anything about this before. I tried looking it up, but I found nothing. I was on peaceful, and I switched to easy to see what would happen. It didn't go away. I eventually left the dimension and went back, but it was gone.
I am very confused, and I need some help figuring this out. I have no idea what could have caused it. If you want any other information, leave a reply. Texturepack is 64x Sphax Pure BDCraft

EDIT: I found out that every time I open this chest, it appears... I can make it appear any time I want. Also I included an image of the block without resource pack. I also placed an empty chest nearby and made it appear again. I still don't understand this... I also noticed that the entity appears to be exactly on the y=0 coordinate...
EDIT 2: It seems to appear in any world. Every time I open a chest in the end, the block appears at the 0,0,0 coordinates...
This guy seems to be experiencing a similar entity. It seems to me that this is an untextured entity. I'm not sure how the two relate, as his seem to be arrows, and mine is unknown. The only mods I have installed are Optifine and TooManyItems. I do not have forge.
I really have no idea. It kind of freaked me out too. It first I thought it was quartz, but it wasn't. I want to know if it's safe to continue working on the world.
