Does anyone know from this why my client keeps crashing? I run Optifine, but that's it. Some days it'll run fine for hours, others, like last night, it'll crash 4 times in 30 minutes. Sometimes I'm out mining or building, others I'm afk and come back to see the crash.

No, I have a fairly decent computer. I just get better performance with optifine on then without it since 1.8 came out.
I have Optifine in Minecraft 1.7.10 and I don't have any issues with it. Maybe try re-installing it ehh? and last question do you have Forge?
