When I try to download the latest Forge version, it does not show up when I go to change my version. I am stuck with a much out-dated version, (10.13.2.1230) and I can't run it because whenever I try to It just says that the minimum version is 10.13.2.1232. What do I do?

When I download the latest Forge, I open up the launcher, but when I go to "Change Version" it only shows Forge version 10.13.2.1230. When I run that it says that I need to download the latest version. When I try again it doesn't work.
The log is in your .minecraft folder, under logs. And what I do when the game starts this and only if I can't fix it before hand, is uninstall Minecraft, and delete your .minecraft folder, after you take all of your mods and saves out of course. Then install Minecraft again and use the Forge installer. Usually works for me, so if you can't fix it, try resorting to that.

Yes, as soon as I downloaded the installer, I ran it. But when I opened up the Minecraft launcher and tried to change my version, there was only the normal Minecraft versions, the older Forge version, and a LiteLoader version for the old Forge.

Ok, I got MultiMC and created an instance, installed Forge and LiteLoader on it and ran it with Not Enough Items and CodeChickenCore. The game loaded fine, but the mods didn't show up when I went to the mods list. It only showed the three default things for Forge.

This is what it says: Forge Mod Loader has found a problem with your minecraft installation
the mods and versions listed below could not be found
Forge : minimum required version is 10.13.2.1291
The file "ForgeModLoader-client-0.log" contains more information
I do not know what the file "ForgeModLoader-client-0.log" is or how to access it.

Hey guys, thanks for the help, but sadly none of these methods work, so now I cannot run my mods. I am stuck playing vanilla minecraft.:(
