been a while since i played
downloaded new launcher
installed
open launcher login
then bam cant login, same socket error crap
whallah
reinstalled minecraft / java like 1000 times
no dice...
even did strange stuff like firewall open

Nah, then you wouldn't be able to post here. Check your firewall settings.

so i concluded it was something wrong with java because i wasnt able to properly verify it
now i had to fix java, prob nothing wrong with meincraft
java troubleshoot recommends disabling anti-virus / firewall during installation (strange)
so why NOT... not sure which one but am going to assume my AVAST messed it up
gg avast but oh well trying to keep me safe from the germans
and then after installation was able to verify fine which at that point i knew meincraft was gunna work
highly doubt it would be meincraft's fault

lets get the old out and in with a new engine plz !
