Whenever I attempt to launch Minecraft in 1.6.4 (the version required for the modpack in the server I want to join) with Forge 1.6.4, the game will simply not launch.

My Java version is 7, update 67. I have no mods installed, only basic Forge. I've tried various patches and fixes but nothing has changed. Launching Minecraft 1.6.4 without Forge works fine.
Okay well, apparently I needed to make a mods folder and put the whole jar in there. The last time I modded minecraft was when you extracted things into the main minecraft.jar. Woops. Thanks for your help

Moderatoryou need to make sure your using java 7, or apply the java legacy fix, older forge do not like java 8
