I'm on Windows 8, 64-bit, and my Minecraft has about fifty mods installed (some of them include Touhou Items Mod, Universe Mod, Candycraft, Malisis Doors, and Optifine).
It used to run steady and fine at 60fps - 80fps, but nowadays it lags and freezes at anything between 1fps to 30fps. This was when I still had about those same mods installed. However, when I run a vanilla Minecraft, it seems to run smoothly.
Might it be an issue with my computer instead of Minecraft itself? When I went to defragment, everything was 0% fragmented.
