Does anyone know why on my computer the critical hit stars and the streak of the bow dont appear? Im big on PVP and its annoying not knowing when i land one. Did they take it away in 1.8? i used to be able to see these. Help. Is anyone experiencing the same thing or know how to fix this? thanks

First off, this should probably be under help.



Second, make sure you have particles enabled. (Options>Video Settings>Set Particles to "All").



Third, make sure you don't have any resource packs that might be interfering. Go into your options and make sure you are on default.



If that doesn't work, try closing out minecraft completely, then go to your .minecraft folder (Windows is Windows Key + R, type %appdata%\.minecraft and hit enter). Go into versions, and delete the 1.8 folder (or whatever you are playing on: 1.8.3?). Open minecraft back up, re-download 1.8, and see if it's fixed.

This might have to do with your graphics card. What model do you have? Have you updated the drivers?

Oh this might be it, I turned off particles I didnt know it took those away. Thanks so much <3
