Hi All
I am hoping someone can help me please, a month or so ago i had this huge world i had built mines, houses, farms, interconecting railway systems. i had spent months on that world.
then all of a sudden it wasn't there in the list of worlds at the start of the game.
the world isn't even in the .minecraft folder either.
it has just upped and vanished, almost like someone had gone on my pc and deleted the whole folder.
i tried asking mojang support for help, however they are extremely busy and just point me to a default thread where it explains how to rename corupt files etc... which doesn't apply to me.
my file just isnt there anymore in \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves
and i dont have minecraft set to store it anywhere else.
another thing that was weird, i found a new hill on top of my farm fence the last time i played it. it was weird, as all my sheep were escaping.
i did have some errors with chunks missing from that file, i think minecraft automatically downloaded a ile to correct the missing chunks, perhaps placing that hill on my farm fence at the same time, perhaps this is related?

Which leaves user error as the most likely cause, e.g. hitting 'delete' or it actually is somewhere other than where you are looking.
