I'm playing on 1.8.3 totally vanilla and monsters don't spawn (only in caves, and, even then, very sporadically. I was once in a huuuge cave system and only one zombie and two creepers showed up). I've gone out to the open at night and there was no one there. I've tried restarting the game, restarting my computer and even reinstalling the game and nothing worked. What the hell is going on?
