I can't start up a server!?

I have tried to create a server for my friends and I, though something isn't working right.

I have the new java, port forwarded, allowed it all through firewall, everything possible, though the server still isn't online, nor can friends join..

So if I'm correct, your trying to run this server off of your computer? And if you copied a youtube video, please post that here too.
