Approximately every third time I close a Minecraft world or the game itself, (I'm on MC version 1.8.3), the game freezes and I get the Java error 'Java platform SE binary is not responding'; and the only way to close the game at that point is to use the task manager. Also my game is starting to freeze at random sometimes when I play, although not nearly as often as the Java error that I get frequently when closing the game. I'm not sure if the freezing is related to the Java error freeze though.
I have updated to the latest 64-bit Java, (which actually made my game run a lot faster); but it still did not fix this Java error.
I have searched through a lot of posts across this forum and others about this error, and after feeling like I've researched it a fair amount, there does not seem to be a clear, universal solution to this problem.
It doesn't make the game unplayable for me, since it only happens when I quit the game, (although the random freezing happens during gameplay); and thankfully it still saves my world even though the only way to close the game when it freezes with this error is to use the task manager and forcefully close it; but it sure is annoying!
Anyone know anything about this and how to fix it?
Computer specs:
-Windows 7 64 bit

I have never had a problem playing/running Minecraft before; and I've been playing the game very frequently for 2 1/2 years.
I have been playing Minecraft since September 2012. It's my favorite game of all time.
