Please forgive my ignorance, but I have tried to resolve my problem for over a month now and have had no luck. Like I stated in the title, Minecraft will not start up through the launcher and it gives me a message saying "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION..." I have read into the issue and people say to uninstall and re-install Java. I have done this multiple times and it has had no effect. I read something about someone having this issue and the problem was with their graphics card. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 and have installed the AMD Catalyst a few months ago. I believe I might have messed something up when I was messing with my graphics card? I don't know. I am stumped. Someone please help me. I would be so grateful.
