Whenever I try to start Minecraft, it launches, but then redirects me back to the launcher but with an error. I don't know what this means, can anyone help?

Does anyone know what this means? I've tried to re-install Minecraft and it won't work.

Try going to %appdata%\.minecraft and delete everything except saves

Uhh, wouldn't that kinda delete the game? Why not just do that?

That deletes everything that the launcher downloads as is probably an issue of a bad downloaded file. The saves are still saved

Ah.

I just did that and now it won't even re direct me to a new log, it just stays on the Update Notes. This is what I get now

I don't know if it's any different from the last log.

You haven't provided enough information to be 100% sure but I think you have this: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/special-characters/
